Philippe Dubreuil, Savannah King Claim 1500 Free Titles to Open Bell Grand Prix

MONTREAL, Quebec, June 29. LAST night, Philippe Dubreuil and Savannah King opened the long course competition at the Bell Grand Prix in Montreal, Quebec with wins in their respective 1500 freestyle races. The meet will run from June 28-July 1 at the Olympic Park Pool.

Dubreuil easily claimed the men's title in 15:44.69, while Kier Maitland finished second in 16:08.29. Simon Tobin rounded out the top three in 16:27.17 after holding off David Hughes, who placed fourth in 16:27.79.

King, on the women's side, clocked a 16:56.65 to defeat second-place finisher Zsofi Balazs' 17:07.26. Kathryn O'Connor completed the podium with a third-place 17:22.60.
