Petar Stoychev Honored by Bulgarian President

SOFIA, Bulgaria, September 14. GEORGI Parvanov, the President of Bulgaria, presented an award to Petar Stoychev, honoring the open-water swimmer for his world-record crossing of the English Channel. Stoychev recently crossed the Dover Strait in six hours, 57 minutes and 50 seconds. It broke the previous record by more than six minutes. Stoychev is well known in the open water swimming community, as he has won seven world championships.
