Petar Stoychev, Ester Nunez Morera Win Ohrid Stop of FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix

OHRID LAKE, Macedonia, July 23. BULGARIAN Petar Stoychev, fresh of winning the last stop of the FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix in Sabac, Serbia, stood tall again as the winner of the men's 30K race held in Ohrid Lake, Macedonia. Meanwhile, Spain's Ester Nunez Morera won the women's race at the event.

Stoychev crossed the line just ahead of Argentina's Damian Blaum, 5:52:00.07 to 5:52:03.67, while Stoychev's teammate Tihomir Ivanchev grabbed third in 5:52:06.86.

Nunez Morera had an easier go of it with a winning time of 6:26:15.29, while Argentina's Maria Celeste Punet placed second in 6:29:49.29. The Netherlands' Evelian Sohl wrapped up third in 6:35:35.93.

The next stop of the series takes place on July 28 at Lake St-Jean in Canada.
