Olympic Trials Qualifier Noah Cakir To Join Indiana in Fall 2025

NEW COMMIT: Olympic Trials qualifier Noah Cakir of Deer Park, New York, has announced his verbal commitment to study and swim at Indiana University starting in Fall 2025. He’s one of the top swimmers in his class.

He will join Luke Ellis in Bloomington as a member of the Hoosiers’ Class of 2029.

Cakir does his club swimming with Team Suffolk Swim Club and had a great showing at the ISCA International Senior Cup back in March. There, he won the 200m IM and 400m free while also taking second in the 200m free and 100m breast as well as third in the 200m breast and 200m fly.

Cakir earned silver in both the 100 breast and 200 breast at Juniors East last December. He also took sixth in the 400 IM and won the B-final of the 200 IM.

His best times include:

  • 100 breast – 53.28
  • 200 breast – 1:55.09
  • 200 IM – 1:45.32
  • 400 IM – 3:47.12

Wrapping up his junior year at St. Anthony’s High School, Cakir won the 100 breast and 200 IM at the 2024 New York State Championships. He took third and fourth, respectively, in those events during his sophomore season.
