Olympian Kaitlin Sandeno Returns to Club Team as Coach

LAGUNA HILLS, California, October 11. OLYMPIAN Kaitlin Sandeno might not be coming back to the pool as a swimmer anytime soon, but she's returned as a coach at her old club team according to the OC Register.

The Nellie Gail Saddleback Valley Gators have been struggling through some changes recently, including a loss of their previous coach. Last month, Sandeno decided to give back to her old club and stepped in as an interim coach to help head coach Joe Fentross.

"It's really nice to give back to something that has given me so much," Sandeno told the OC Register. "When I retired from swimming (last summer), I don't know I'd be so connected to swimming still but I like the part I'm in. I'm the part having fun with the kids, being that role model. … I just feel I relate really well with them and they open up really well to me."
