Oklahoma City Speedo Sectional Comes to a Close

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma, July 21. THE Oklahoma City Speedo Sectional came to a close with long course meter swimming in the 50 free, 1500 free, 200 IM and 400 medley relays.

In the 200 IM, Liz Smith of Parkway knocked off Emma Reaney, 14, of the Aquahawks, 2:18.23 to 2:20.56, while Bryan Difford of Missouri won the men's race over Bobby Bollier of the Kansas City Blazers, 2:06.79 to 2:10.82.

In the distance freestyle, Colleen Gordon led a Missouri 1-2 in 17:05.34 as teammate Jill Granger finished second in 17:14.48. For the men, Max Jaben of Missouri clocked a 16:16.39 that gave him a big win over Spenser Lauver of Swim Omaha (16:29.87).

Shara Stafford, 17, of the Topeka Swim Association won the 50 free in 26.53 over Hannah Kinder, 17, of Gator Swim Club, while Parker Sargent of Tsunami touched in 23.47 to beat Bennett Clark of Missouri (23.59) in the men's race.
