Off Deck, Swimming World TV’s newest original production, returns today with a discussion of the recent Female World Swimmer of the Year voting. Katie Ledecky won the honor for the third straight year (in a unanimous vote), and other regional award winners included Katinka HosszuRie Kaneto and Kirsty Coventry.

In this episode, SwimVortex’s John Lohn joined host David Rieder, both members of the 15-person panel that decides these awards, and the two gave their thoughts on the winners and share some of what stands out to them when looking back at 2016.

Check back Thursday for another episode of Off Deck as Rieder and Lohn break down the Male Swimmer of the Year balloting.
