Oceania Championships: Robert Hurley Continues To Roll

CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand, June 7. ROBERT Hurley added his fifth and sixth gold medals of the meet with a double on the third day of swimming at the Oceania Championships held in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Hurley first snagged the 400 free title with a time of 3:53.56, before touching first in the 200 back with a time of 2:01.23. Both times were meet records.

In other men's action, New Zealand's Glenn Snyders won the 50 breast in a meet-record 29.23, while Papau New Guinea's Ryan Pini claimed the 100 fly in a meet-record 52.33.

For the women, Amy Smith of Australia won another gold medal at the meet with a meet-record 59.96 in the 100 fly. Compatriot Jessica Legge took home the 50 breast title in a meet-record 32.22.

New Zealand's Lauren Boyle topped the 400 free in 4:14.29, while teammate Melissa Ingram touched first in the 200 back with a meet-record 2:11.03.
