Oakland vs. Kenyon College

GAMBIER, Ohio, January 24. SENIOR Andy Kellogg tallied three first-place finishes in both the 50-and 100-yard freestyle events with times of 21.03 and 45.43, respectively, and had swam lead-off on the winning 200 free relay team (along with senior Nicholas Bonucchi, freshman Ben Vavra and junior Marcin Unold) with a time of 1:23.08, while junior Agnes Solan tallied three first place marks of her own in the 100 and 200 backstroke (57.85 and 2:04.29) and as anchor on the first-place 200 free relay team (with freshman Alyssa Vela, junior Sarah Ludema and sophomore Corey Tschannen) with a time of 1:36.69, as the Oakland University men's and women's swimming teams split their decisions against Kenyon College. The men's team won 136.5-124.5, while the women's team fell 148-127.

Other individual first-place finishes for the men's team came from freshman Anders Jensen in the 200 butterfly (1:52.13) and in the 200 back (1:51.03), Unold in the 100 back with a mark of 51.56, Bonucchi in the 100 breaststroke (58.17) and freshman Joe Rodgers in the 200 breast (2:09.10) and 400 individual medley (4:07.70).

The women's team also had individual first-place finishes from senior Sophia Gustafsson in the 1000 free (10:24.53) and 500 free events (5:07.40) and Vela in the 100 free (52.19).

Oakland will host their final dual meet of the season on Saturday, Jan. 31 when Michigan State University comes to the OU Aquatic Center. The meet is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start and will also be Senior Day for OU.
