NOW AVAILABLE December Swimming World Magazine Names European Swimmers of the Year

PHOENIX, Arizona, December 4. SWIMMING World's 2012 Male and Female European Swimmer of the Year awards go to the Netherlands' Ranomi Kromowidjojo and France's Yannick Agnel.

Every year, a panel of international Swimming World Magazine correspondents cast their ballots for Regional and World Swimmers of the Year. This year, female winner Kromowidjojo won the polls by a landslide. The honors come after her golden Olympic sprint double in the 50 and 100 freestyle, winning the 50-meter race by the second-largest margin in Olympic history. Agnel, who continues to impress the swimming community at a number of meets post-London, earned the Swimming World Magazine title for his performance in the men's 4×100 freestyle relay, when he chased down the United States' Ryan Lochte at the finish for gold. Agnel also won individual gold in London in the men's 200 meter freestyle.
