NEW COMMIT: Nova Southeastern University has received a new commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from versatile Dillon Chana of Middlesex, Great Britain.

He told Swimming World:

“I’m so excited to announce that I’ve decided to continue my athletic and academic career at nova southeastern university! Thank you to my family, friends and coaches for helping me get this far.”
Chana, who trains with Hillingdon Swimming Club, last competed at the Middlesex County Championships in February where he earned three best times. He finaled in the 50m fly at the Swim England London Region Winter Meet in November 2019 after a strong show at the summer meet earlier that year.

In LCM, his best times include,

  • 50m free – 25.33
  • 100m free – 55.22
  • 50m back – 27.83
  • 100m back – 1:00.63
  • 50m fly – 26.25
  • 100m fly – 57.23

In SCY, those times convert to:

  • 50 free – 22.03

  • 50 back – 23.71
  • 100 back – 51.83
  • 50 fly – 22.96
  • 100 fly – 50.24

Chana will add valuable depth both individually and on relays when he arrives on campus as a member of the Sharks’ Class of 2025. Under head coach Benjamin Hewitt, Nova Southeastern finished second overall in the team standings at the 2020 Sunshine State Conference Championships.
