Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am so excited to have committed to NMU, it is such an amazing team with an amazing coaching staff, the campus was beautiful as was the scenery. I’d like to give a special thanks to my supporting friends and family as well as coaches Tyler and Paul on SDSA. I’d also like to give a huge thanks Coach Krissy and Tom from South Bay Aquatics, I could not have made it as far as I have without them. I can’t wait to be a Wildcat!”

Hagewood, who swims year-round with San Diego Seaport Aquatics, raced to seventh in the 100 breast at the San Diego Imperial Classic in February before going on to earn a best time at Carlsbad Sectionals.
