GRAND FORKS, North Dakota, March 12. WEST Fargo secured first place at the North Dakota Boys' State Swimming and Diving Championships with 428 points. Mandan and Bismarck followed with scores of 286 and 278 respectively.

West Fargo opened the meet with a state record in the 200 medley relay. The group of Jake Weible, Zach Cormican, Austin Keller, and Eric Benson clocked a time of 1:38.22 for the win. Weible also won the 100 backstroke (53.22).

Freshman Jordan Barth (Mandan) won the diving competition (426.55), while Devin Aune (Mandan) took second (416.65) and Nathaniel Polak (Minot) placed third (388.10).

Ben Griggs, Khale Skjold, Jake Reopelle, and Patrick Duncan (Fargo South) combined for state records in the 200 (1:26.65) and 400 (3:13.05) freestyle relays. Griggs also won the 50 (20.53) and 100 (45.98) freestyles.
