Jane Donahue has given Penn State another member of the Class of 2021. The high school senior swims for SwimMAC Carolina and Christ the King Catholic High School.

The high school senior shared,

“I’m thrilled to verbally commit to swim for Penn State! I’m so grateful to have this opportunity and thankful to everyone who has helped me throughout the years! I cannot wait to be a Nittany Lion!”

Donahue is a three time North Carolina 1A/2A High School state champion. She has twice won the 200 IM and once the 100 breaststroke. She is also a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American. She had a great breaststroking 2015-2016 season. At Winter Junior Nationals East in December, Donahue finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke. This summer she was the runner up in the 200 at Atlanta Futures.

Her best times are:

  • 100 Breast: 1:01.92
  • 200 Breast: 2:14.65
  • 200 IM: 2:04.66
  • 50 Free: 23.82
  • 100 Back: 58.92

While the Big Ten Conference can expect to see Lilly King remain atop the breaststroke podium, Donahue would have topped the C final of the 100 breaststroke last year. She also would have been a B finalist in the 200 breaststroke for the Nittany Lions.

Camryn Barry and Carly Hart have also given their verbal commitments to Penn State.
