Next Leg of FINA Marathon World Cup Scheduled for Saturday

SEVILLA, Spain, June 7. A record 114 athletes will take part Saturday in the fourth leg of the FINA 10-kilometer Marathon Swimming World Cup in Sevilla, Spain. Sixty men and 54 women spanning 29 countries are expected to compete in the race, which accounts for one step of the 11-race schedule that will conclude late this year.

Leading the men's point standings, Russia's Vladimir Dyatchin will do battle with the men who sit second and third in the scoring race, Egypt's Mohamed El Zanaty and Russia's Evgeny Koshkarov. On the female side, Angela Maurer (Germany) currently holds the scoring lead, but should be challenged by the Australian duo of Trudee Hutchinson and Kate Brookes-Peterson.
