New Swimming Documentary to Feature Connor Jaeger, Will Begin Fundraising Campaign Next Week

Jaeger,C.

IOWA CITY, Iowa, April 7. WEST Middle Productions, LLC, announced today that 2012 Olympian and three-time individual NCAA champion Connor Jaeger will be featured in their forthcoming swimming documentary, “The Water Is My Sky.” The documentary, which is currently in production, is seeking to provide an inside-look into the world of elite competitive swimming. Jaeger, who just wrapped up his senior season at the University of Michigan, will be offering a glimpse into the world of professional swimming as he trains toward the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

Jaeger will be joining several others in the documentary, including 2000 Olympic bronze medalist Tom Wilkens. Wilkens and Jaeger grew up in the same town of Middletown, NJ, and Jaeger can distinctly remember being inspired by Wilkens as a kid during the Sydney Games. The two have since connected on a personal level and are able share a strikingly similar story reflecting the struggles and triumphs of the common swimmer.

The film will also feature appearances by several other prominent members of the swimming community, including Rowdy Gaines, Michael McBroom, Matt Grevers, Connor Dwyer and many more.

WMP has been filming “The Water Is My Sky” for over a year and plan to continue filming throughout 2014. On April 14, the company is launching a fundraising campaign on Kickstarter which will help finish the production.
