NCSA Junior National Championships: Sprint Events Dominate Third Day

ORLANDO, Florida, March 20. THE National Club Swimming Association (NCSA) Junior Championships completed the third day of competition.

Girls
Teammates Colleen Fotsch and Liv Jensen walked away with the 1-2 in the 50-meter fly with times of 27.87 and 27.92, respectively. Then, in the 50-meter breast, Curl-Burke's Ellyn Baumgardner touched out Haley Spencer of Rockwood, 32.46 to 32.71.

Emily Kelly of Long Island Aquatics matched her first-day distance free win with a victory in the 200 free when she hit the wall in 2:02.44. Rebecca Jones of Tide took second in 2:02.56.

In the 400 IM, Laura Moriarty of Magnus Aquatics touched out Meg Hawthorne, 4:53.72 to 4:53.78 before an unidentified team from Waukesha Express won the 400 free relay in 3:55.13.

Boys
Michael Arnold of Chattahoochee snatched the 50 fly title with a time of 25.18, while Stuart Ferguson of Poseidon touched out Garret Riechel of StingRay, 29.26 to 29.36, in the 50 breast.

Jeff Raymond of Pine Crest won the 200 free at the wall over Matt Barber of Blue Tide, 1:52.41 to 1:52.43, while Brent Hitchcock picked up the 400 IM triumph with a time of 4:24.99.

Rockville-Montgomery followed with an unidentified team to win the 400 free relay in 3;31.99.
