NCAP’s Andrew Seliskar Downs U.S. National Age Group Record Twice

FAIRFAX, Virginia, March 8. NATION's Capital Swim Club's Andrew Seliskar took down his 15-16 U.S. National Age Group record twice today at the Potomac Valley Short Course Championships held in Fairfax.

Seliskar first took down his record with a 53.33 in prelims of the 100-yard breast, before lowering it even further with a scorching 53.26 in the finale. That's the fourth and fifth time this year he bettered the mark. At the Virginia AAA Northern Region Championships last month, Seliskar clocked a 54.09. He first captured the record from Cody Miller, who owned a 54.38 in 2008, and is now dominating the event at the collegiate level for Indiana University.

Teammate Cassidy Bayer also took a run at the 13-14 record in the 100-yard fly with a 53.70. That swim came up just short of the time shared by Felicia Lee and Kendyl Stewart (53.44).
