Former Florida Gator Makayla Sargent has announced her transfer to NC State University. Sargent will join the Wolfpack in the fall. In her freshman year (2016-2017) in Gainesville Sargent qualified for NCAAs, swimming the 400 IM and 200 butterfly at the National Championship. There Sargent won the 200 butterfly, 200 breaststroke, and 200 and 400 IMs.
