NEW COMMIT: Kimani Gregory has announced his verbal commitment to swim for NC State University beginning in the fall of 2019. Gregory is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a junior at Penn Hills Senior High School. He swims for Racer X Aquatics.
Gregory is a sprinter, strongest in fly and free. His best times are:
- 50 Fly 23.43
- 100 Fly 48.03
- 100 Free 43.76
- 100 Back 49.86
- 50 Free 20.45
- 100 Breast 57.17
He said in his announcement,
“I’m very proud and excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of North Carolina State”
At the Pennsylvania AAA High School swimming state championships in March Gregory finished third in the 100 free and was runner up in the 100 fly, posting lifetime best times in both events.
If he can handle a 200, the balance in these 100 PBs looks like he could have a useful 200 IM after a year of college training. Good luck Kimani!
