Nashville’s Carrie Johnson Staying Close to Home; Commits To Tennessee

OLD HICKORY, Tennessee, October 5.  Carrie Johnson, who trains with Nashville Aquatic Club, will be remaining within driving distance of home after committing to the Tennessee Lady Volunteers today.

Johnson, the third-ranked recruit in the State of Tennessee by CollegeSwimming.com, will add some butterfly depth to head coach Matt Kredich’s team.

Johnson, who preps at Mount Juliet High School, has a 54.62 in the 100-yard fly to her credit, as well as a 1:01.76 in the 100-meter fly.

She also has some potential in the backstroke with a 55.85 in the 100-yard back from her Tennessee high school meet this year.

Johnson is also on record with some sprint events, and could work her way into sprint medley relay work for Tennessee.  She owns a 26.93 in the 50-yard back as well as a 28.26 in the 50-meter fly.
