NEW COMMIT Peachtree City, Ga. native Nanami Lillie has handed her verbal commitment to the University of Hawaii and will arrive on campus as a member of the Bows’ Class of 2025.

She will join Kathryn Ivanov, Kira Hobbs and Julianna Penner in Manoa in the fall of 2021.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Hawai’i! I am so grateful for the support I have received from my coaches, family, and teammates throughout this journey! GO BOWS!”

Lillie does her club swimming with SwimAtlanta and most recently competed at the Southern Premier Invitational where her highest finish was an 18th-place showing in the 100 back after finishing eighth in the 100 fly at Georgia Seniors in December. In Summer 2019, she earned three best times at Georgia LCM Seniors where she finaled in four events.

Her best times include:

  • 50 fly – 25.68
  • 100 fly – 56.07
  • 200 fly – 2:07.74
  • 50 back – 27.08
  • 100 back – 57.38
  • 200 back – 2:04.98

Also competing for Mcintosh High School, Lillie is a six-time individual Georgia 1-5A State Championship finalist. She placed third in the 100 fly and sixth in the 100 back as a junior while taking fifth and sixth, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.

Lillie will add valuable depth when she joins the program next year. She would’ve placed in the C-final of the 100/200 back as well as the 100/200 fly at the 2020 MPSF Championships where the Rainbow Warriors clinched their fourth-straight team title under head coach Elliot Ptasnik.
