Mountain West Championships: Day Three

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma, February 25. UNLV leads the men’s standings at the 2011 Mountain West Conference Swimming & Diving Championships with 538.50 points, while San Diego State extends its lead on the women’s side with 497 points this far.

BYU is second in both men’s and women’s swimming & diving with 480 and 388 points, respectively. Wyoming sits in third and remains in the hunt for both team championships, as the men have earned 389.50 points and the women have 347 points.

On the men’s side, TCU is fourth with 328.50 points, followed by Utah (315) and Air Force (258.50). In women’s swimming & diving, Utah has collected 333 points, followed by UNLV (310), TCU (259), Colorado State (232), New Mexico (219) and Air Force (100).

The closing day of events begins tomorrow at the OCCC Aquatic Center with the preliminary heats of the 200-yard backstroke at 10 a.m. CT and the finals starting at 6:15 p.m. CT.
