Morning Swim Show: Rokur Jakupsstovu on “The Pal Joensen Effect” in Faroe Islands

PHOENIX, Arizona, September 17. SWIMMING World correspondent Rokur Jakupsstovu joins today’s edition of The Morning Swim Show to talk about the state of swimming in his native Faroe Islands and the effect star swimmer Pal Joensen has on the country’s sports.

With the Faroe Islands linked to Denmark politically and athletically (for the Olympics), Jakupsstovu said it’s good to see Denmark doing so well on the world stage, and is trying to make their male swimmers just as good as the females with a new program about to go into effect.
