Morning Swim Show: Penn Charter, Swimming Helping Jamal Willis’ Future

PHOENIX, Arizona, February 28. ON today's edition of The Morning Swim Show, senior Jamal Willis relives the experience of winning the 50 freestyle at last week's Eastern Interscholastic swimming championships.

Willis, who attends the William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia, talks about being the only swimmer outside of The Peddie School to win an event in the men's competition, and the pride he felt to be the first from Penn Charter to repeat as meet champion. He also discusses the team aspect at Penn Charter and why he chose to attend the private school. With a college career coming up at Lehigh University, Willis talks about his thoughts on what he could have improved on his 50 freestyle, and why he's happy he stuck with swimming, a sport that gave him a scholarship to attend a Division I university.
