Morning Swim Show: Natalie Coughlin Remembers Historic NCAA Career

PHOENIX, Arizona, March 19. LEGENDARY NCAA champion Natalie Coughlin joins today's edition of The Morning Swim Show and looks back on an amazing collegiate career that includes 11 individual NCAA titles.

Coughlin relives the experience of winnings such races as the 100 butterfly in 2001, featuring Olympic gold medalist Misty Hyman, and the 100 backstroke in 2002, when she broke the 50-second barrier. She also talks about how she was able to successfully complete the 100 fly-100 back double and win the two events all four years. One of the keys to Coughlin's success was Cal head coach Teri McKeever, who helped Coughlin get past thoughts of quitting the sport after not making the 2000 Olympic team and continued that strong relationship through three Olympic Games appearances. Coughlin is back in the pool and she talks about her competition goals and her new training group at Cal. Be sure to visit SwimmingWorld.TV for more video interviews.
