Morning Swim Show: Marcus Schlesinger Looking to Shine at Maccabiah Games

PHOENIX, Arizona, June 3. TODAY'S edition of The Morning Swim Show features NCAA Division II 100 butterfly champion Marcus Schlesinger.

Schlesinger is in Phoenix this summer training for the Maccabiah Games in Israel, where he looks to race alongside Olympic champion Garrett Weber-Gale and a host of other top Jewish athletes from around the world. Schlesinger talks about the process of applying to be a part of Team USA at the Maccabiah Games, and his goals for the meet. He also relives the experience of winning his first NCAA title, which he did in March in the 100 butterfly to close out his collegiate career for Ouachita Baptist. He also talks about breaking 20 seconds for the first time in the 50-yard freestyle and the open water swim he completed in 2011 to honor a friend.
