Morning Swim Show: Kenyon Swimming Thriving Under Jess Book’s Guidance

PHOENIX, Arizona, May 21. KENYON swimming head coach Jess Book joins today's edition of The Morning Swim Show.

Book took over head coaching duties for the men's swimming team at Kenyon College at the start of the 2012-2013 season, and saw the Lords win the team title for the first time in three years. Book talks about the ingredients that went into the team win, from the mental attitude to the camaraderie with the women's team. He also discusses how much of the coaching philosophy he learned from Jim Steen and Bill Wadley that he continues to use. With Division III swimming having different rules regarding coaching in the summer months, Book talks about his chief responsibilities at Kenyon while his athletes are away.
