Morning Swim Show: Alex Katz’s Lessons Learned From Summer Racing

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 18. NATIONAL junior team member Alex Katz joins today’s edition of The Morning Swim Show in the middle of a hectic senior year of high school.

Now that Katz has made his college decision, he talks about trying to get back into the groove of high school classes before taking off for the World Cup meets in Asia in a couple of weeks. His experience on the junior national team has meant more to Katz than swimming fast. He says the friendships he’s made have been the most exciting aspect given the short amount of time he’s spent with his teammates. He relives the day he made the championship final of the 100 backstroke at the senior nationals and what it was like racing in the same heat as Ryan Lochte and Tyler Clary.
