More U.S. National Age Group Records Fall in Oregon

CORVALLIS, Oregon, March 5. RECENTLY, the USA Swimming National Age Group record book has been taking a beating. Now, we've just received more information on a pair of records that fell in the state of Oregon in the last few months.

At the Oregon 11-14 Short Course State Championships, the Lake Oswego Swim Club team of Karen Turner, Amy Wiley, Sarah Feil and Kemy Lin erased the 13-14 200-yard medley relay record with a time of 1:45.11.

That swim smashed the 1:46.74 set by the King Aquatic Club foursome of Brianne Lindblad, Ariana Kukors, Leona Jennings and Emilee Jennings in 2004.

Meanwhile, the Lake Oswego Swim Club quartet of Grace Carlson, Cassidy Robinson, Brenda Cha and Celia Keany clocked a time of 1:40.25 in the 11-12 200-yard freestyle relay, beating the previous record of 1:40.43.

If anyone else out there knows of any other national records falling, feel free to contact us at Newsmaster.
