Michigan State Record Holder Mallory Comerford Chooses Louisville

KALAMAZOO, Michigan, September 25.  AFTER finishing up her official visits, Michigan high school state record holder Mallory Comerford decided to head to the University of Louisville for her collegiate swimming.

Comerford, the fourth-ranked recruit in the State of Michigan by CollegeSwimming.com, preps at Plainwell High School and trains at Southwest Y Michigan Swimming in Portage, Mich.

“Louisville has always felt like the right place to be,” Comerford posted on CollegeSwimming.com. “The team already feels like my family and the coaching staff is amazing! I cannot wait to see where this opportunity is going to take me. Go Cards!”

Comerford, also ranked 56th in the entire Class of 2015 by CollegeSwimming.com, will provide an infusion in the sprint events to head coach Arthur Albiero’s squad. She holds a 23.35 in the 50-yard free, a 50.14 in the 100-yard free and a 1:47.60 in the 200-yard free.

Comerford also has some long course ability with a 26.45 in the 50-meter free, a 56.78 in the 100-meter free and a 2:04.14 in the 200-meter free.

Comerford isn’t just a freestyle specialist, as she’s gone 54.60 in the 100-yard fly and 1:01.82 in the 100-meter fly with a 56.50 in the 100-yard back during her time training in Michigan.
