Weiss had a great summer in the pool, qualifying for the Pan Pacific championships in the 800 free relay. Placing fourth in the 200 free at nationals was part of a plan to improve his odds to make an international squad in the relay, while still putting a strong focus on his best event, the 400 IM. Weiss talks about training for the 400 IM, including working on the weak part of his IM. He’s also the only postgrad at the University of Wisconsin and he talks about continuing to train with the college swimmers and inspiring them as a volunteer assistant coach.
