Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte Among Top 10 in Twitter Analysis of Olympians

LONDON, England, July 9. TRAFFICADO, a web-monetization company, released a social media study of the 50 most popular Olympians from the NBCOlympics website, and a pair of swimmers made the grade in two separate categories of the analysis.

Phelps checks in with the ninth-most followers amongst this year's Olympians:

Lebron James — Basketball – 5,274,238
Serena Williams — Tennis – 2,841,006
Kevin Durant — Basketball – 2,479,605
Carmelo Anthony — Basketball – 2,247,680
Usain Bolt — Track & Field – 557,769
Rudy Gay — Basketball – 539,667
Alex Morgan — Soccer – 531,517
Tony Parker — Basketball – 292,290
Michael Phelps — Swimming – 235,037
Lolo Jones — Track & Field – 154,750

Meanwhile, Ryan Lochte is the eighth-oldest early adopter of Twitter, having joined way back on April 25, 2009:
