Meet of the Week, Recap: Wyoming Sweeps TCU

LARAMIE, Wyoming, November 15. IN another SwimmingWorldMagazine.com Meet of the Week, Wyoming swept TCU in front of a partisan crowd in Laramie, Wyo. The men claimed a 191.5-106.5 win, while the women captured a 168-131 triumph.

Alex Larkin and Matt Urich led the Wyoming men with three titles each. The duo paired up to lead the 200 medley relay foursome of Devin Hougardy, Larkin, Urich and Tommy Gregory to a win with a time of 1:33.19. Larkin then won the 100 breast (57.33) and 200 breast (2:05.67). Meanwhile, Urich claimed titles in the 100 fly (50.72) and 200 fly (1:55.64).

Josh Bagby won a trio of titles for TCU. He touched first in the 50 free (21.41), 100 free (tied with Wyoming's Eli Bell, 46.72) and leadoff the 400 free relay squad of Bagby, Jason Hauck, Ben Iannacone and Jack Doran for a winning time of 3:10.43.

In the women's meet, Lesley Young of Wyoming pocketed four titles. Kelsey Conci, Young, Shelby Bull and Cassie Stelow won the 200 medley relay in 1:46.14. Young then walked away with titles in the 100 breast (1:05.90), 200 breast (2:24.20) and 200 IM (2:12.40).

TCU's Ashley Bolin finished with two titles. She touched first in the 100 free (53.44) and the 200 free (1:55.36).

In diving, Wyoming's Kyle Bogner (325.50) and Mark Murdock (303.30) cleared the zone cut in the one-meter event. In the three-meter event, RJ Hesselberg (339.22) and Kyle Callens (320.55) of TCU and Murdock (321.15) beat the zone cut as well.

For the women, Stephanie Ortiz of Wyoming won the three-meter with a zone cut tally of 313.73. She then swept diving with a zone-standard 292.35 in the one-meter.
