PHOENIX, Arizona, November 4. THIS weekend, Swimming World features four meets in the SwimmingWorldMagazine.com Meet of the Week series. One of the contests is the Ouachita Baptist meet at Delta State.

Here is a quick preview of the match-up of the meet that will also feature Swimming World intern Stefan Lackner of Delta State:

Date and Time: Saturday, November 8 at 1 p.m.
Location: Arkadelphia,Arkansas

Ouachita Baptist's Last Time Out:
The OBU men's team took a 120-103 home loss to Missouri S&T, while the OBU women last swam to a 131-97 loss against Henderson State.

Radu Badalac was a part of three event wins in the men's meet. He swam the first leg of the 400 medley relay squad of Badalac, Razvan Goga, Daniel Karkoska and Max Heinze that won in 3:28.80. He also won the 100 free (46.19) and 200 free (1:45.75).

Sarah Watson provided the best swim for the women with a B cut time in the 100 back (58.55).

Looking forward with Ouachita Baptist's head coach Ryan Killackey:
The competition between our two schools is very exciting. Delta State always swims well against us. It does not matter what's happened so far in the season, this will come down to the last event. We have to be there mentally, and swim smart to overcome Delta. Our men's team has the opportunity to redeem ourselves after last week's loss to Missouri S & T. Along with many returning standouts, Delta State has some new swimmers that will give us a great challenge. We are going to have to really swim well, and reach way down if we are going to stand any chance at staying with them. This meet will come down to who wants it more.

Delta State's Last Time Out:
The last competition for Delta State came nearly a month ago on Oct. 10 as DSU swept Henderson State in a New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference contest. The Statesmen of DSU beat HSU, 141-100, while the Lady Statesmen earned a 135-101 victory.

Roman Sereda led the way for the men with wins in the 200 IM (1:57.53) and 200 back (1:59.56). Meanwhile, Dawb Thomson paced the women with triumphs in the 500 free (5:23.46) and 1000 free (11:05.48).

Looking forward with Delta State's head coach Brian Hein:
This OBU meet is always one of the biggest during the regular season. We are fierce competitors in the pool, and the meet usually goes a long way in letting you know where your club is headed into the heart of the schedule. Our men's and women's teams are swimming with a lot of confidence right now and I think it will be an extremely competitive meet.
