Matthew Lamping Sets Paralympic American Record

BOCA RATON, Florida, February 4. THIS past weekend, Matthew Lamping, 18, broke a Paralympic American record in the S10 classification of the men's 200-yard fly.

Lamping clocked a 2:19.04 in the event, during the third annual St. Andrew's School Scotty Invite. Lamping swims for the DeVos-Blum Family YMCA of Boynton Beach, and is gearing up for the Spring Can-Am meet held in San Antonio, Texas. The competition will serve as the World Championship Team Selection meet.

Special thanks to Lamping's head coach Ozzie Quevedo for contributing this report.
