Mason Manta Ray Stephanie Schoenlein Sends Verbal to Bowling Green State
NEW COMMIT: Lifelong Mason Manta Ray Stephanie Schoenlein of Mason, Ohio has verbally committed to Bowling Green State for the 2018-19 season. For Mason High School, Schoenlein was a top-five finisher in both the 100 and 200 free at the Greater Miami Conference Championships. She is coming off a breakout summer season, where she posted huge time drops in her signature sprint freestyle events.

Schoenlein’s Best Times:
- 50 free – 24.72
- 100 free – 53.34
- 200 free – 1:53.88
- 100 back – 59.36
- 50 free LCM – 27.90 (Previously 29.44)
- 100 free LCM – 1:00.36 (Previously 1:02.66)
- 200 free LCM – 2:13.37 (Previously 2:18.26)
If Schoenlein carries this momentum into the short course format, she could add great depth to the Bowling Green freestyle relays that finished fifth and sixth at the 2017 Mid-American Championships.
This marks the second verbal for Bowling Green after Noelle Lavigne‘s intent earlier this month, while the Mason Manta Rays have already had Lauren Thomas, Hannah Foster and Allison Bloebaum indicate their college selections.
