Manaudou Wins 400 Free at French Cup

LYON, France, February 25. ROUNDING into form for the World Championships in Melbourne next month, Laure Manaudou clocked 4:06.80 in the 400-meter freestyle at the French Cup. Manaudou, the world-record holder in the event, was joined as a winner by Malia Metella, who claimed first in the 100 free in 55.44. Sweden's Josefin Lillhage was second in 55.46.

Hungary's Laszlo Cseh, gearing up for medley clashes with Michael Phelps in Melbourne, prevailed in the 400 I.M. in 4:14.79. Meanwhile, Oleg Lisogor won the 50 breast in 28.00.
