Mallory Comerford and Lilly King Highlight ACC/B1G Challenge Rosters

GREENSBORO, N.C./ROSEMONT, Ill. — The Atlantic Coast Conference and the Big Ten Conference announced the participants for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge hosted by Purdue University at the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center on Nov. 10-11.

The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) roster is represented by 12 schools, 84 swimmers and 20 divers, highlighted by last season’s ACC Female Swimmer of the Year, ACC Championships Most Valuable Swimmer and two-time NCAA Champion Mallory Comerford (Louisville), 2018 ACC Female Freshman of the Year Mariia Ashtashkina (Louisville) and 2018 ACC Championships Most Valuable Diver Ashlynn Peters (Virginia Tech). The men’s side is highlighted by last year’s ACC Male Swimmer of the Year and three-time NCAA Champion Andreas Vazaios (NC State) and 2018 Freshman of the Year Nicolas Albiero (Louisville).

The Big Ten is represented by 13 schools, 76 swimmers and 20 divers. The roster features the men’s Big Ten Swimmer of the Year Ian Finnerty (Indiana), Big Ten Swimmer of the Championships Vini Lanza (Indiana) and Freshman of the Year Ricardo Vargas (Michigan) as well as the women’s Big Ten Swimmer of the Championships Beata Nelson (Wisconsin), Swimmer of the Year Lilly King (Indiana) and Freshman of the Year Kristen Romano (Ohio State).

Big Ten Network will provide coverage for the entirety of the event. Saturday’s coverage will begin at 5 p.m. ET on BTN2Go and Sunday’s events will begin at 10 a.m. ET live on BTN. Admission is free to the public.
