Madison Graham of the Dynamo Swim Club will be joining Tennessee’s Lady Vol’s this coming fall as a member of the class of 2020. Graham currently swims under Jason Turcotte at Dynamo and was a contributing member to Pace Academy’s, her high school team, state team for the past three years at the GHSA 1-5A State Championships.

Swimming the 100-Y back for three straight years at the State Championships Graham steadily improved upon her time and place from a fifth place finish of 57.56 in 2014 up to a second place finish of 55.91 in 2016. Additionally, Graham posted sixth in the 200 IM (2:07.86) in 2015 before improving to fifth and a 2:03.83 in 2016. Graham’s steady improvement has led her to be ninth ranked recruit in the state of Georgia according to collegeswimming.com.

Choosing Tennessee to continue her swimming pursuits seems to be a natural fit for Graham as her father was a competitive swimmer under the tutelage of coach Ray Bussard from 1979-83. Graham told Swimming World,

I chose Tennessee because of the outstanding academic opportunity and swim program. I felt at home with the team immediately and I know the coaches and program as a whole will push and help me reach my goals as a swimmer and as a person. I can’t wait for the next four years, go Vols!
