NEW COMMIT: The University of Louisville Cardinals have received a verbal commitment from Diana Dunn, a member of the Team USA World Junior Championship team.

Dunn hails from Austin, Texas where she swims for Austin Swim Club and is a senior at James Bowie High School. She’s a two time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American. Sophomore year Dunn was a two event runner-up at the Texas 6A High School Championships, earning silver medals in the 200 IM and the 100 free. Last year as a junior she did not race high school.

Dunn is incredibly versatile, with no clear strength in yards. On USA Swimming’s PowerPoint system everything from sprint to mid-distance freestyle to IMs to the 200 breaststroke are in the mid to high 800 point range. Her lifetime bests include:

  • 100 Free 50.02
  • 200 Free 1:47.72
  • 500 Free 4:47.26

She wrote,

“Extremely happy to say that I have committed to study and swim at the University of Louisville! Can’t wait for the next 4 years!! GO CARDS!”
