SULPHUR, Louisiana, November 30. TWO broken division records and a one-team domination defined the Louisiana 2A, 1A, B, C High School State Championships.

Team Scores

The University men also ended the meet atop their standings, compiling 376 points throughout the meet. Episcopal came in second with 320 points while the Isidore Newman School racked up 224 points and took the third-place spot.

Women's Individual Results
University brought out the brooms in the relay events, sweeping all three. The contingent of Caroline Forbes, Emily Rush, Ayuko Morikawa and Kristin Patterson beat out the competition in the 200 medley relay, winning the event in a 2:05.30. A whole new set of women teamed up in the 200 freestyle relay, as Allison Peak, Lexi Crovetto, Katherine Miles and Laura Furr won with a 1:45.91. Furr, Miles, Peak and Crovetto all captured their second relay gold of the meet with a 3:47.58 victory in the 400 freestyle relay.

Miles churned out two individual event wins for the Cubs. She took the gold in the 200 IM (2:14.08), and she also won by eight seconds in the 500 freestyle, swimming a 5:22.04.

Laura Klick from Newman accounted for both broken division records. She started off by winning the 50 freestyle in a record time of 24.34. Her swim erased the former standard of 24.60 set by Northlake Christian's Cackey Miltenberger in 1999. Klick roped in her second record with a 1:04.80 swim in the 100 breaststroke. Episcopal's Sarah Bedell set the former mark of 1:06.12 in 2004.

Men's Individual Results
Austin Butler from Episcopal monopolized the podium's summit in the sprint events. He won by more than a second in the 50 freestyle (22.11) and edged out 200 IM champion Christian Riess in the 100 freestyle (48.58).

Butler was the sole double-event winner in the men's meet.
