Letitia Sim, Will Modglin, Zoe Dixon, Kledi Kadiu Keep Rolling at NCSA Summer Championships
The fourth of five nights of racing at the NCSA Summer Championships in Huntsville, Alabama, saw four swimmers finish on top for at least the third time in the meet. The first such winner was TNT Swimming’s Letitia Sim, who won the women’s 100 butterfly in 1:00.53 while younger sister Levenia claimed second in 1:00.91. Letitia had already won the 50 fly and 100 breast at the meet, while Levenia had been the 100 back winner.
Zionsville’s Will Modglin, already the 200 back and 100 back winner, claimed first in the men’s 100 fly in 53.94. NOVA of Virginia’s Zoe Dixon won the women’s 200 breaststroke in 2:29.82, one night after her outstanding 4:42.25 in the 400 IM to go along with her earlier win in the 200 fly. And in the men’s 200 breaststroke, CSP’s Kledi Kadiu touched first in 2:18.22, completing the sweep of the 50, 100 and 200 breast events and winning his fourth event after he also captured first in the 100 free. The 200 breast victory was tight, however, as Kadiu only finished 0.27 ahead of the field.
The 400 freestyle races went to Rockville Montgomery’s Madison Smith in 4:17.31 and to Tsunami Swim Team’s Alec Enyeart in 3:54.82.
The Dads Swim Club won the women’s 400 freestyle relay in 3:51.82, while Zionsville’s group of Modglin, Charles Krone, William Raches and John Donovan earned the victory in the men’s relay in 3:27.06.
