Kledi Kadiu, Letitia Sim, Will Modglin, Sydney Smith Each Win Second Title at NCSA Summer Championships

On the second of five nights of racing at the NCSA Summer Championships in Huntsville, Ala., four different swimmers made it two-for-two in wins over as many days.

CSP’s Kledi Kadiu won the men’s 100 breaststroke in 1:03.00, taking first by more than a second and a half after a narrow, 14-hundredth victory in Tuesday’s 100 freestyle. In the women’s version of that event, TNT’s Letitia Sim won in 1:08.59, more than three seconds ahead of the field, after Sim captured first place in the 50 butterfly a day earlier.

Zionsville’s Will Modglin became the third swimmer to double up when he captured the men’s 100 backstroke by almost two seconds in 55.62. Modglin already won the 200 back in Huntsville, so he will only have the 50 back to go to complete the backstroke sweep.

The last double winner was Dads Swim Club’s Sydney Smith, who won the women’s 200 free in 2:02.80. Smith previously won the 100 free in a close finish Tuesday.

In other action, NOVA’s Zoe Dixon won the women’s 200 butterfly in 2:13.34, and in the evening’s first race, the men’s 400 IM, City of Richardson’s Giovanni Linscheer took first in 4:24.21. Linscheer’s night was not over, however, as he swam the third leg on City of Richardson’s 800 freestyle relay that also included Trey RichardsonLevi Sandidge and Harris Durham, and the team finished first in 7:37.35.

OLY Swimming’s team of Josie ConnellyGrace OlsenMeghan Fleury and Michelle Liu finished first in the women’s 200 freestyle relay in 1:45.47.
