NEW YORK, New York, October 16. CBS has released a lengthier preview of the upcoming episode of “48 Hours” featuring an in-depth look at the sexual abuse Kristen Cunnane suffered as a teenager in California before becoming a successful college swimming coach.

(”48 Hours” correspondent Tracy Smith talks about reporting on the story)

Cunnane went public in 2012 with her story of abuse at the hands of two teachers at Joaquin Morago Intermediate School. Cunnane, now the associate head coach for women’s swimming at UC-Berkeley, speaks about the relationship she developed with physical education teacher Julie Correa and the startling revelation that Correa would hide in Cunnane’s bedroom. Science teacher Dan Witters had abused Cunnane before Correa began a relationship with Cunnane.

Also in the preview is a woman referred to as “Jane Doe,” who was one of many girls abused by Witters.

“48 Hours” airs at 10 pm Eastern/Pacific Saturday. Check your local TV listings for actual air times.
