King Aquatic Club Downs U.S. National Age Group Boys Relay Record

FEDERAL WAY, Washington, July 27. THE KING Aquatic Club downed a U.S. National Age Group record in the boys 13-14 200-meter medley relay at the PNS Long Course Championships tonight in Federal Way, Wash.

The foursome of Thomas Anderson, Mitch Hovis, Koppi Kolyvek and Zach Johnson threw down a time of 1:52.78 to win the boys 13-14 200-meter medley relay tonight. Hovis is the lone 13 year old with the other three legs listed as 14 years of age. The team split the race 27.87, 32.18, 26.95, 25.78.

That swim lowered the previous record of 1:53.28 set by the Irvine Aquazots quartet of Christopher Wong, Alex Kang, Jared Namba and Michael Hauss back in 2008.
