Kenyon College Earns Commitment from Sprinter Alexandra White
NEW COMMIT: Kenyon College has earned a new commitment for the fall of 2019 from Greensboro, North Carolina’s Alexandra White.
White does her club swimming with the GCY Makos and most recently placed sixth in the 50 free at the 25th Annual Capital Classic. She recorded a lifetime best at both the YMCA LCM Nationals this past summer and YMCA SCY Nationals in April. A current senior at Wesleyan Academy, White placed 23rd in the 50 free at the North Carolina Senior Championships last February.
She told Swimming World:
“I’m so excited to announce my commitment to Kenyon College for swimming! Thanks to all the coaches, family, and friends who helped get me here! Couldn’t be more excited!”
Her best times include:
- 50 Free – 23.92
- 100 Free – 53.27
- 200 Free – 1:57.12
White will make an immediate impact in Kenyon’s sprint group when she arrives on campus as a member of the class of 2023. Her best 50 free time would’ve scored in the A-final of the North Coast Conference Championships, while her 100 free and 200 free would’ve placed in the B-final.
