Ken Stopkotte Under Investigation For Financial Fraud

FISHERS, Indiana, September 16. ACCORDING to the IndyStar, Fishers Area Swimming Team's former head coach Ken Stopkotte is under investigation for financial fraud. At the end of last month, Stopkotte settled with USA Swimming and Indiana Swimming to two-year and five-year bans, respectively, for wide-scale times tampering spanning three meets in February 2010.

The current investigation by the Fishers Police Department is looking into unaccounted funds.

"An accountant is checking accounts and following the trail of money to investigate an allegation of fraud," Sgt. Randy McFarland told the IndyStar.

Stopkotte did not reply to a Swimming World request for comment on the allegations of fraud.
