Kalisz, Bowman, Bauerle Discuss 400 IM Victory at Men’s NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, March 30. CHASE Kalisz won the 400 IM at the men's NCAA swimming and diving championships in his freshman season, and he talks about preparing for the swim and his strategy for making sure he finished the race first.

Bob Bowman, who coached Kalisz at the North Baltimore Aquatic Club, was on deck to watch Kalisz swim in his first NCAA championships, and Bowman analyzes Kalisz's performance and his history from training at North Baltimore Aquatic Club.

Jack Bauerle, Kalisz's coach at the University of Georgia, says the 400 IM is “a tough guy's event” and has a lot of pride in Georgia's past victories in the event.
