After breaking five Masters World Records in April, Kalis Rasmussen added three more world records to her career this weekend.

Swimming at the Etobicoke Olympium Masters Aquatic Club (EOMAC) LC World Masters Warm Up Meet in Etobicoke, Ontario, Rasmussen set three long course Masters World Records in the 95-99 age group.

Rasmussen, originally from Denmark, who moved to Canada in 1951, now has eight masters world titles just this year after setting five short-course world records in March.

This weekend, Rasmussen set the age group world record in the 50 breast, 100 breast and 200 breast. She won the 50 breast in 1:38.21 and also won the 100 breast in 3:47.12 and the 200 breast in 7:42.36.

Rasmussen is coached by Mirko Petrov, the president of the EOMAC club.

“When I started swimming masters, I was in my early 20s and she was old then,” Petrov joked in March. “Every year we travel. We went to Budapest a couple of years ago for the world championships. She won the world championships at age 89 in Budapest. She is just inspiring people everywhere she goes.”

In March, Rasmussen swam a 2:42.88 in the 100 back, a 5:42.83 in the 200 back. She also swam a 7:22.30 in the 200 breast and a 1:32.51 in the 50 breast.
